Matriva Releases Landlord Essentials Training Course to Help UK Landlords Navigate Compliance

Matriva has published a free Landlord Essentials training course, a 12-module educational programme designed to help UK landlords understand and meet their legal obligations under current rental legislation.

The course covers the core compliance areas every landlord must navigate, including deposit protection, gas safety certificates, Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR), Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) requirements, Right to Rent checks, the How to Rent guide, HMO licensing, and handling rent arrears.

"Most landlords enter the market without any formal training. They learn by making mistakes, and those mistakes can be expensive," said Mike Georgeson. "We built this course to give every landlord, whether they own one property or fifty, a clear, practical understanding of what the law requires of them."

Each module includes written lessons, practical examples, and a short quiz to test understanding. Landlords who complete all 12 modules and pass the final assessment receive a completion certificate.

The course is free to all registered Matriva users. Logged-in landlords can access it immediately through the Training section of their dashboard, and progress is tracked so learners can resume where they left off.

Matriva plans to add further modules covering advanced topics such as section 8 notices, insurance, and portfolio management in the coming months.
